“Services”). These Terms of Use (
“Terms”) form an agreement between you and us. By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information and forms a critical part of the Terms.
BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICES OR ANY PART THEREOF, YOU CONSENT TO ABIDE BY AND BE BOUND BY THE TERMS SET FORTH HEREIN, THE PRIVACY POLICY, AND ANY OTHER POLICY FORMULATED BY US, AS UPDATED OR MODIFIED FROM TIME TO TIME IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS THEREIN. THEREFORE, PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICES OR ANY PART THEREOF. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO ADHERE TO OUR TERMS OR ANY OF OUR FUTURE CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS TO OUR TERMS, YOU MAY CHOOSE TO CEASE THE ACCESS / USE OF OUR SERVICES OR ANY PART THEREOF.
1. Registration and access
Eligibility. You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old to use this Service and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. In the event you are under the age of 18 years, you represent and warrant that, (a) you have the requisite consent from your legal guardians and are availing the services under their supervision; and (b) are competent to form a binding contract; and (c) have not previously been suspended or removed from using our services and/or the Site or any part thereof. If you are under the age of 13 years, you should not access our Services, directly or indirectly.
Registration. You must provide accurate and complete information to register for an account to use our Services. You may not share your account credentials or make your account available to anyone else and are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. If you create an account or use the Services on behalf of another person or entity, you must have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may access and use our Services as a registered member. In using our Services, you must comply with all applicable laws and these Terms.
2. What you cannot do.
You may not use our Services for any harmful, or abusive activity. For example, you may not:
- Use our Services in a way that infringes, misappropriates or violates anyone’s rights.
- Modify, copy, lease, sell or distribute any of our Services.
- Attempt to or assist anyone to reverse engineer, decompile or discover the source code or underlying components of our Services, including our models, algorithms, or systems (except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law).
- Automatically or programmatically extract data or Output (defined below).
- Represent that Output was human-generated when it was not.
- Interfere with or disrupt our Services, including circumvent any rate limits or restrictions or bypass any protective measures or safety mitigations we put on our Services.
You shall further not use or access the Service or any part thereof:
- for any unlawful purpose;
- for any purpose that in any way could harm, disable, overburden, or impair the Site;
- to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts;
- engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Site or the servers and networks connected to the Site;
- engage in a manner so as to violate any international, federal, provincial or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances in India;
- attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Site;
- act in a manner so as to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others;
- harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability;
- submit or create false or misleading information;
- upload, distribute or publish through the Site, any content which may contain viruses or computer contaminants (as defined in the Information Technology Act 2000 or such other laws in force in India at the relevant time) which may interrupt, destroy, limit the functionality or disrupt any software, hardware or other equipment belonging to us or that aids in providing the services offered by us;
- to harvest or collect any information of the users of the Site, including using any robot, spider, site search or retrieval application, phishing, or other manual or automatic device or process to retrieve, index or mine data;
- for any obscene or immoral purpose; or
- to interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Site.
3. Third party Services.
Our services may include third party software, products, or services (“Third Party Services”) and some parts of our Services, like our browse feature, may include output from those services (“Third Party Output”). Third Party Services and Third-Party Output are subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
4. Feedback.
We appreciate your feedback, and you agree that we may use it without restriction or compensation to you, in any form and manner we deem fit.
5. Content
You may provide input to the Services (“Input”), and receive output from the Services based on the Input (“Output”). Input and Output are collectively “Content.”
You are responsible for Content, including ensuring that it does not violate any applicable law or these Terms. You represent and warrant that you have all rights, licenses, and permissions needed to provide Input to our Services.

Ownership of content
As between you and us, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you retain your ownership rights in Input and we retain all rights in the Output. You hereby assign to you all our right, title, and interest, if any, in and to Output.
b.
Similarity of content
Due to the nature of our Services and artificial intelligence generally, output may not be unique and other users may receive similar output from our Services. Our assignment above does not extend to other users’ output or any Third-Party Output.

Our use of content
We may use Content to provide, maintain, develop, and improve our Services, comply with applicable law, enforce our terms and policies, and keep our Services safe.

Accuracy
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are rapidly evolving fields of study. We are constantly working to improve our Services to make them more accurate, reliable, safe, and beneficial. Given the probabilistic nature of machine learning, use of our Services may, in some situations, result in Output that does not accurately reflect real people, places, or facts. When you use our Services you understand and agree:
- Output may not always be accurate. You should not rely on Output from our Services as a sole source of truth or factual information, or as a substitute for professional or other advice.
- You must evaluate Output for accuracy and appropriateness for your use case, including using human review as appropriate, before using or sharing Output from the Services.
- You must not use any Output relating to a person for any purpose that could have a legal or material impact on that person, such as making credit, educational, employment, housing, insurance, legal, medical, or other important decisions about them.
- Our Services may provide incomplete, incorrect, or offensive Output that does not represent our views. If Output references any third-party products or services, it doesn’t mean the third party endorses or is affiliated with.
6. Our IP rights:
We own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services. You may only use our name and logo in accordance with our Brand Guidelines as updated on our Platform from time to time. All intellectual property, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, in or of the Lit Law platform belongs to or is licensed to us. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, personal, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive and revocable license to access and use the Platform or any part thereof for availing the service offered through the Site, but not to download any material from it or modify it, or any portion of it for commercial use. Any unauthorized access to the Site (or any part thereof) or any networks, servers or computer systems connected to the Site and any attempt to modify, adapt, translate or reverse engineer any part of the Site or re-format or frame any portion of the pages of the Site is not permitted without our express written consent. This license is non-transferable and does not permit any resale or commercial use of this Site or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of anyone other than your use; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools. The Lit Law Services including the website or any part thereof is our intellectual property (including but not limited to any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information) and may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, distributed or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose or otherwise, without our express written consent. Any unauthorized use of the Lex AI shall lead to revocation of the access / license granted by us herein.
7. Paid accounts
We may suspend or terminate your access to and use of the Services, including suspending access to or terminating your account, at our sole discretion, at any time and without notice to you.

Billing
If you purchase any Services, you will provide complete and accurate billing information, including a valid payment method. For paid subscriptions, we will automatically charge your payment method on each agreed-upon periodic renewal until you cancel if that option is provided. You’re responsible for all applicable taxes, and we’ll charge tax when required. If your payment cannot be completed, we may downgrade your account or suspend your access to our Services until payment is received. You can cancel your paid subscription at any time. Payments are non-refundable, except where required by law.

Changes and Refund.
We may change our prices from time to time. If we increase our subscription prices, we will give you at least 7 days’ notice and any price increase will take effect on your next monthly renewal so that you can cancel if you do not agree to the price increase.
8. Termination and suspension

Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services or delete your account if we determine:
- You breached these Terms or our Usage Policies.
- We must do so to comply with the law.
- You use our of our Services could cause risk or harm to Lit Law, our users, or anyone else.
- We also may terminate your account if it has been inactive for over a year and you do not have a paid account. If we do, we will provide you with advance notice.
Discontinue
We may discontinue our Services, but if we do, we will give you advance notice and a refund for any prepaid, unused Services.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS.” EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES AND LICENSORS MAKE NO WARRANTIES (EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE) WITH RESPECT TO THE SERVICES, AND DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF ANY COURSE OF DEALING OR TRADE USAGE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ACCURATE OR ERROR FREE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT WILL BE SECURE OR NOT LOST OR ALTERED. YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE THAT ANY USE OF OUTPUTS FROM OUR SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK AND YOU WILL NOT RELY ON OUTPUT AS A SOLE SOURCE OF TRUTH OR FACTUAL INFORMATION, OR AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. WE PROVIDE NO WARRANTY THAT: (i) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, (ii) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, (iii) THE RESULTS WILL BE DESIRABLE, ACCURATE OR RELIABLE, (iv) THE QUALITY OF ANY PRODUCTS, SERVICES, INFORMATION, OR OTHER MATERIAL OBTAINED BY YOU THROUGH THE SITE WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS, OR (V) ANY ERRORS IN THE TECHNOLOGY WILL BE CORRECTED.
10. Limitation of liability
NEITHER WE NOR ANY OF OUR AFFILIATES (IF ANY) OR LICENSORS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, OR DATA OR OTHER LOSSES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE LIABILITY AROSE OR INDIAN RUPEE ONE THOUSAND, WHICHEVER IS LOWER. THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY ONLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
11. Indemnity
If you are a business or organization, to the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless us, our affiliates, and our personnel, from and against any costs, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) from third party claims arising out of or relating to your use of the Services and Content or any violation of these Terms.
12. Dispute resolution
We would like to understand and try to address your concerns prior to formal legal action. Before either of us files a claim against the other, we both agree to try to resolve the Dispute informally. If you have a complaint, queries or concern, you should in the first instance contact the customer support team at
[email protected].Complaints should be made as soon as possible after circumstances arise that cause you to have a complaint.
You accept that any complaints and disputes are and remain confidential both whilst a resolution is sought and afterwards. You agree that you shall not disclose the existence, nature or any detail of any complaint or dispute to any third party. You agree to do so by sending us an email at the above address. If we are unable to resolve a Dispute within sixty (60) days, either of us has the right to approach the courts in New Delhi, India.
13. Trade controls.
The Services are currently provided in India for the individuals within the territory of India. Any use of the Services outside the said territory is not permitted and shall be at your own risk. You must comply with all applicable trade laws, including sanctions and export control laws. Our Services may not be used in or for the benefit of, or exported or re-exported to (a) any Indian embargoed country or territory or (b) any individual or entity with whom dealings are prohibited or restricted under applicable trade laws. Our Services may not be used for any end use prohibited by applicable trade laws, and your Input may not include material or information that requires a government license for release or export.
14. Modification:
We may alter or modify the Terms at any time without giving prior notice to you. We may choose to notify of some changes in the Terms either by email or by displaying a message on the Lit Law platform; however, our notification of any change shall not waive your obligation to keep yourself updated about the changes in the Terms. Your continued use of the Lit Law Services constitutes your unconditional acceptance of the modified or amended Terms.
15. Entire agreement.
These Terms read with our Privacy Policy contain the entire agreement between you and Us regarding Lit Law and the Services offered by Us.
16. Governing law.
Law of India will govern these Terms.
